In people aged 50 years and older who use every day for at least three servings of low-fat milk or yogurt, was a higher bone density than their peers who neglect these products. This is the conclusion drawn by researchers from Harvard University, reports the publication Daily Mail.
The study included the participation of more than 3,200 people who are screened prior to the regular use of low-fat dairy products and after. The results showed that the amount of calcium and vitamin D in the body of participants has increased, and the consumption of saturated fats are practically not improved.
Meanwhile, the scientists note that the milk produced on the basis of more fatty foods, such as cream, fermented baked milk or ice cream does not have a similar effect. Nutrients therein is much less, while fat and sugar is contained in excess.
