Egypt plans to launch a satellite, created by local scientists


Artificial satellite, which was designed and built exclusively a group of Egyptian scientists in the near future, will be sent into orbit. These data were transferred on Sunday agency MENA referring to Egypt’s Minister of State for Science Nadia Zachary.

National Space Agency of Egypt, according to the minister, is currently engaged in addressing the issues directly related to the launch of the satellite, namely finding a suitable launch site. Experts are negotiating with the upcoming launch of Kazakhstan and India.

According to scientific estimates, the Egyptian satellite "Nano" will do its job in orbit in a period of six months to one year. Equipped with systems that support charging by solar energy, it only weighs one kilogram. The purpose of the satellite is mainly for scientific research.

On the creation of a satellite operated only by local experts Egypt, as well as scientists from the National Space Agency, researchers from the University of Cairo and several Egyptian engineers electronic companies. Minister of Science Zachary noted that the implementation of this national project was a huge breakthrough in the science of Egypt.
